We are looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen our accounting department, based in Porto.
This position is intended for experienced professionals who are comfortable managing accounting processes independently and supporting international clients operating in Portugal. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and direct communication with clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.
What you will do
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining accurate and complete accounting records, including ledgers, journals, invoices and receipts
Managing daily, monthly and annual accounting activities
Preparing financial reports and supporting tax-related processes
Communicating directly with clients regarding accounting status and related matters
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Conducting profit and cost analysis to support management decisions
What you need to be successful
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
A degree in Accounting, Management or Economics
At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting and finance tools
Good command of Portuguese and English, both written and spoken
Previous experience working with international clients or in a multi-cultural environment will be considered a strong advantage.
